Nehemiah is a charitable organization that provides money to people to help them become homeowners. The Nehemiah Program provides funds to qualified buyers who can then purchase participating properties using an eligible program.
Nehemiah has teamed up with mortgage companies, real estate agents, title companies, new home builders, and homeownership counselors to assist you in achieving the American dream of becoming a home owner.
You must have a minimum of 1% of the contract sales price of the Participating Property.
You must attend and complete an approved Home Ownership Counseling Course and receive a Certificate of Completion.
You must qualify for an eligible loan program.
When you qualify as a Nehemiah Buyer, you can receive up to 3% of the contract sales price of the participating home to be used for your down payment and closing costs. There is no repayment of the gift monies.
You do not have to be a first time homebuyer.
